Art & Wine Intertwined

Sat, June 23 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm

A casual summer wine tasting held inside the Bankhead Theater in downtown Livermore, “Art & Wine Intertwined” will include local offerings from Big White House Winery, The Singing Winemaker, and Garré Vineyard. The lively jazz music of Wombo Combo with Andrew Mathers will enliven the afternoon event.

Currently on display in the Bankhead Gallery is the iconic photography of Bill Owens, whose intimate and often humorous views of mid-century suburbia gained widespread acclaim in the 1970s. A former staff photographer for The Independent, Owens’ work resides in the permanent collection of museums and galleries worldwide. This will be the last public opportunity to enjoy “Suburbia Re-Visited” as it closes on June 25 to make way for a new exhibit.

“Art & Wine Intertwined” is free and open to the public. Tastings are $2 each or three for $5 and light appetizers will be served. The event runs from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. with the music program beginning at 1:30 p.m.

Hosted by Livermore Valley Performing Arts Center, “Art & Wine Intertwined” events welcome the community to the Bankhead Theater and support LVPAC’s goal to build awareness and share the visual and performing arts.
