The dazzling color and vibrance of Rimsky Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol launches us on a dramatic evening of expressive detail. Livermore-Amador Symphony welcomes Cellist Evan Kahn, a musician of exceptional warmth whose playing is described as ”electrifying, nuanced and colorful.” Mr. Kahn is featured in two works, introducing us to music of his father, then diving into Dvorak’s delightful Rondo for Cello and Orchestra. We close with Dvorak’s compelling and passionate Symphony No. 7.
